Happy New Year
We at TMT are doing a little stock-taking, on this final day of 2010, but mostly are regrouping from a fabulous time last Wednesday with the Mummers show, and looking forward to our Masque of Irony at the end of February. The Mummers night at the Tranzac was a hoot. The singers knocked themselves out and made their scenes hilarious, touching and full of Newfie energy! My daughters, Alison and Juliet, and their friend Emma, brought down the house with a fabulous rendition of the Wren Song, and my fellow band-mates outdid themselves, especially "old Eddie" with another outstanding solo on the Ugly Stick. We're so looking forward to the Irony show, where we will unveil a number of arrangements of Randy Newman songs....and plenty more!
We're also planning for 2011-2012 at this point, and looking forward to involving as many of our friends as we can in the shows. After the fun we had at the Tranzac Club, look for the Mummers to be an annual event!
I am tremendously grateful to our board of directors, all the artists who appeared with TMT in 2010, and all of you who bought tickets, made donations, volunteered with us and offered encouragement to the company. Your contributions are greatly appreciated. I wish you all the very best in 2011.
